For Encroachment Permits or Public Right-of-Way Concerns, please contact the Public Works Department at (831) 675-5000.

Please select "Sign Up" in the upper right corner of this page, and then on the next page, choose "Create an Account." Our SmartGov Permitting Portal will verify your login email address, and then you can begin using the Online Permitting System.
More than one main applicant or professional on a project?
Once a permit has been submitted, please email aflores@ci.gonzales.ca.us with a building permit number for an Access Code. Once you have an access code, please select "Sign Up" in the upper right corner of this page and input the Access Code.
